In 2000, I heard the president (can't remember her name now) of a Washington sports organization, which owned the Washington Bullets and several other pro teams, speak at a conference. Michael Jordan, who was an executive with the Bullets at the time, has cut his finger very badly on a cigar cutter, and his entire hand was bandaged. The owner of the organization (can't remember his name either) figured this was the only chance he'd ever have to beat Michael at one-on-one, so he challenged him to a game. Michael asked what they were playing for. The owner asked what Michael wanted to play for. Michael responded, "whatever would make you nervous to lose".

They never played.
