Having an affair isn't against the law, but swearing to tell the truth to the grand jury is. It's also against the law to obstruct justice and abuse power. If you've read the Starr report you should be able to deduce that he is probably guilty of all three. No one who is defending (or defending him by claiming not to defend his actions - then directing their anger at Starr) is outraged by Clinton's actions. He is the one who has caused this investigation to be so costly. Had he come clean on the front end he could have saved us almost as much (not quite, but almost as much) as he spent taking 1,000 people with him to China. He should do the honorable thing and resign, but lacking any character, he will have to be dragged from office. It's really a pitiful sight, but what more should we expect from a man who has apologized for everything from persecution of slaves in the 1800's to Princess Diana's death, but not for his own actions.

His legacy will be that he was the president who was so disgraceful he woke the American people up and they will never vote for such a sleaze in the future (I hope.)

Hope I haven't masked my emotions too much on this topic!<g>
