>Every time I get a new phone I have to toss my old charger, data cable, headphones, etc. The only thing I get to keep is my Bluetooth. Is it just a big scam to make all the connections different, not only from manufacture to manufacturer, but even from versions of phone for the same manufacture? Seems like just a way to make more money. I usually toss my old phone so needing to keep the accessories with it isn't an issue. As it is now, I do keep them all together; in the trash.

Yeah, it's pretty annoying. There is supposedly a move to standardize at least the charger connection as a mini-USB connection, but it will be a while before they do that. You might want to look at trading your old phone in - usually places that will repair phones will give you something for your old one (assuming it's not TOO old) so they can use it for replacement parts. It could offset some of the cost of the accessories.
