Yeah that is a pain the neck. I always get the PDA/Cell phones so on top of all the normal accesories, extra batteries and such that I buy I always have to get new SD or SD-MINI or SD-Micro cards too.
The PDA ones have different ROMS on them based upon what carrier you're using - and what's even more annoying is that they have a tendency to cripple the phones too. The HTC PPC6700 that I have came with the bluetooth DUN disabled and the internet-connection sharing features removed so that you can't use it as a modem. The verizon ones were setup so you couldn't even have the WIFI and the phone on at the same time! Luckly there are guru's out there that have fixed that problem, but still a big hassle. Now I want one of the new HTC Touch Pro's - and those units have a built-in FM radio - but suprise suprise both Sprint and Verizon have removed that feature. I suppose that is because they want you to buy music from their online music stores. I remember reading about a class-action lawsuit a year or two ago about these carriers crippling the phones, but I don't know what ever became of it. Obviously not much as they're apparently still doing it.

>Every time I get a new phone I have to toss my old charger, data cable, headphones, etc. The only thing I get to keep is my Bluetooth. Is it just a big scam to make all the connections different, not only from manufacture to manufacturer, but even from versions of phone for the same manufacture? Seems like just a way to make more money. I usually toss my old phone so needing to keep the accessories with it isn't an issue. As it is now, I do keep them all together; in the trash.
