>If I understand what you're doing, it seems to me that all you need to do is make sure each instance of the form has a unique alias for the cursor, and you don't need to write the date at all. Just use SYS(2015) to create the cursor alias, store that name in a form property and you're good to go.

With my current design, each form has its own DS and its own copy buffer (cursor). I am wanting to re-design it so that one common buffer/cursor is shared among all forms (of the same class type), so that I can populate the buffer in one form instance (which as its own DS), and then go to another form instance (which has its own DS) and then paste them there.
