Perhaps the answer is to apply the twit filter only in the technical forums leaving "chatter" as a free-for-all.
Or perhaps the other way around would be better: assuming that people keep things technical it seems inappropriate to interrupt technical contributions just because you don't like the source. Everybody may miss out or exchanges may become stilted because one person has a snitch on somebody else.
