Unfortunatley today it is still there. Only that box. Exports settings, close VS, import settings - token is there. Close VS, reopen - no token. All other setting stick - AAARGH

The VS IDE defiinitley Rocks! )

>>>Odd. It works fine for me. I went into Tools, Options, Environment, Task List and added a new token with my initials. I inserted the new token at the beginning of a few comment lines and those lines showed up in the Task List. When I closed and restarted VS 2008 the token persisted in both the active project Task List and as a token in the environment setting. This was NOT done while stepping through the code; maybe that threw something off?

>>>BTW, I love it that one of the built-in tokens is HACK ;-) I still smile remembering a maintenance project I worked on at Geneer over 10 years ago. One code fragment was preceded by a comment line saying "Hack!" -- and followed by another code fragment preceded by "Even bigger hack!" LOL

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin

Pardon him, Theodotus. He is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
