The FPT file is the memo file. If your table contains memo fields, then you must always keep the two files - extensions .DBF and .FPT - in the same place.

It is possible that you deleted the .FPT file (trans1.fpt in this case) accidentally. It is also possible that the file got corrupted. In either case, you might restore from a backup.
