This has nothing to do with the subject that I want to ignore. Why do you persist with the idea that I must take your right to be heard over my right to ignore you? If you were to follow your argument to its logical conclusion it would give everybody the right to force everyone else to listen to them and their ideas – surely not a reasonable proposition.

Okay, here my reply. As Alan Popov also noted, it has become somewhat philosophical. Another word that comes to my mind is academic. I'm aware that this can be tiresome to some. But hopefully not to all.

I simply disagree with you about the quality of the responses I got (but accept that it's your opinion). IMO only some replies were 'good', that is, of quality. But sure, it may be the case that I think I explained my pov well, but actually used some wrong word somewhere, thus messing up the complete sentence. (See one of my signatures.)

I can't recall having written somewhere that I have the right to be listened to, or stated even more strongly, that everyone here is obliged to listen to me. That would indeed be a ridiculous proposition. My plea was that it's unwise for this forum to use a twit filter mechanism. Instead, it should use one or more moderators to keep the peace. My arguments need not be repeated here, hopefully.
Groet,
Peter de Valença

Constructive frustration is the breeding ground of genius.
If there’s no willingness to moderate for the sake of good debate, then I have no willingness to debate at all.
Let's develop superb standards that will end the holy wars.
