Hi Luis.
This is going to be a long post.
You can do all the basic and some advanced cleaning
using a very simple, efficient and FREE utility called
CCleaner (http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/)
If you never cleaned the garbage that Windows/Internet Explorer
and other software left in your PC than it will take some time to
CCleaner cleans everything. Don't worry. Wait till it finishes.

There is another issue that can make your computer very slow
and it's related to the way that Windows "talks" to your Hard Disk.
There is a bug in Windows that makes it switch from the correct
way to access your hard disk (through UDMA - Ultra Direct Memory
Access) to PIO mode (much slower than DMA).

To check this go to Device Manager, under "IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers"
section, doubleclick each "IDE Channel" (Primary and Secondary) and at
the "Advanced Settings" tab check the "Transfer Mode". It should be set to
"DMA if available". Below that option there is a Status line that tells you
the "Current Transfer Mode" that Windows is currently accessing the
equipment (Hard Disk or DVD/CD). For Hard Disks it should be
"Ultra DMA Mode 5" or higher. For actual CD/DVDs should be "Ultra DMA 2"
or higher. For Older CD/DVDs is acceptable "DMA Mode" or even "PIO Mode".

The BUG (just one of many): Sometimes, even the Transfer Mode is set
to "DMA if available" Windows access the Hard Disk in PIO Mode.

As this post is long enough, please, check this and then post again telling
your situation. If necessary I can explain how to correct this issue.

Waiting for your post.

>I am getting my pc slow after some month, even if i use the unfragmentator of disc , and when i take it to the technician...he told em that i have to formatt the hard disk and install the software and the other progarms again to get it quick.
>I would like to know if there is other way to make it more quick with out formatting the hard disk
>Thank you
