>.NET Web Hosting is so expensive merely due to the SQLServer Database that they use. I am having a difficulty deciding on what platform I could use to build a B2B Web application. I already transferred the hosting of our one site to HostMonster.Com because it's cheap with unlimited data storage. It is not advisable for us here to host a website because of technical considerations like for instance hardware infrastructure, broadband connectivity problems, and many more. I am still in a period of venturing on other platform other than MS and one them is PHP and MySQL combined.

That is the same reason I looked into it a year or so ago. Problem for me was I didn't want to invest (again) into a technology that wasn't mainstream. I am a novel CNE and many installations were replaced in favor of Microsoft just because it was Microsoft regardless of how good Novel was. Anyway good luck to you I see Stuart has volunteered to provide a DataAccess Object. If you can use the Business Layer Generator against something else like he suggests to create your objects and then just change your settings back to MySQL.

Oh, I moved all my hosting domains except one over to WebHostForASP.Net as it includes a MSSQL Database. I have three different websites under one account so it works out for me just fine and I didn't think it was too expensive. You might give it a look.
Good Luck
Tim
