You're right. In the Effective techniques book I wrote the chapter on non-visual objects and frmaeworks. We used the VFP6 framework as an example to examine how it works. Building an app with it was a breeze, but trying to figure out exactly how it does what it does and then explain that was a difficult job.
Interestingly, the deeper I got into it the more impressed I became with it. But I sure would have liked some comments to help in figuring it out.
