I'm unable to add this simple thing to a header in Word 2002 sp3. I can insert the page number with .fields.add(). I can insert text. But I can't do both. Adding a field erases anything already there! I can Fields.Add() the page field, then InsertAfter() the ' of ' text, but when adding the number of pages field, everything else is wiped out. Range.Collapse(0), end = end + 1, etc. doesn't help.

Anyone know how to just insert some version of 'Page ' + PageField + ' of ' + PageNumField into a header?
