As I said, it's probably not what you prefer in your case. The basic idea is that, in case of two columns, a cursor contains two memofields and each memofield contains all the text you want in a column.
This hyperlink shows data that appear to be printed on a line by line basis (in a detail band), but actually some texts are memofields that contain multiple lines:
