>>>>>>Oho! I will defend VW with the zealotry of any German. My car is a VW Jetta which I have had for just over 5 years, nearing 60,000 miles. I have never put that many miles on any car. It isn't the performance monster the Corvettes I had in my heyday were but it has plenty of pep. Gets 30 miles a gallon like a metronome, and that's mostly local driving. Everything about it is solid and well thought out. Would I buy another one or recommend it? You betcha.

>>>I don't know details but it comes there with Mexico brand so people don't give worth it as like as golf...

>>If that's the case then some people have unfair prejudices against Mexican manufacturing. The Jetta is a solidly built car.

>>My ex recently gave our daughter her Pontiac minivan instead of trading it in. (Lots of miles, not worth much as a trade-in). I can't even tell you the number of things wrong with it. It seems like every last detail is crap, crap, crap.

>We compare it's german manufacturing, not american. German manifacturing is the number one on the world. Japan comes just after German. I don't know how is american because in Turkey just richmen can afford an american car because of your big engines tax rates. You have to build cars have small engines if you sell so much cars in Turkey.

Perception is interesting. I have a friend who back in the mid 80s was an executive for Mitsubishi (he was from Japan). Back then Toyota was viewed highly in the U.S., but Mitsubishi was not. Yet in Japan, Mitsubishi cars were considered the better car.
