We are using VFP 9 SPT with SQL Server 2005. When I issue a SELCT * FROM MyTable... my varchar fields appear in the resulting VFP cursor with a TYPE of C and length of 0 (there is data in the SQL Server field in question).

The Data Type Conversion topic in the VFP Help leaves me confused. What is the SQL_CHAR and SQL_LONGCHAR they talk about? Can this be done in SPT or do I need a remote view?
