>>>Do you feel anyone here has an obligation to race onto the UT and post a diatribe against Israel every time they retaliate against Hamas? You seem to have concluded that nobody is bothered by the current offensive -- which their Prime Minister called "an all-out war" today -- because nobody posted about it. The attacks have been condemned by the UN and many individual governments, including the U.S. I suspect many agree with me that Israel has overreacted.

>WHITE HOUSE SPOKESMAN GORDON JOHNDROE: "Hamas' continued rocket attacks into Israel must cease if the violence is to stop. Hamas must end its terrorist activities if it wishes to play a role in the future of the Palestinian people. The United States urges Israel to avoid civilian casualties as it targets Hamas in Gaza."

That's not really the same as
the attacks have been condemned by the UN and many individual governments, including the U.S.There have been a number of middle eastern governments condemning it, but the UN and the U.S. have been careful not to. In fact, the U.S. stated that the blame for the fighting lies with Hamas.
Personally, I think Hamas blew it. They expected eventual Israeli retaliation, but not at this level.
