the difference is the position of the 'where 2>=' clause. The example as given by you does not work in VFP , the correction however does work in VFP. Cetin calls this a bug in VFP and I confirm on him.

Please try yourself the next time you have a pc with VFP at hand, the first one will give you an error. The second works like a charm.
