>I have learned to think of attitudes in terms of ownership. If some person has a bad attitude and is angry, he owns the anger. If I buy into it then I own a share of it. Needless to say I have learned to internally say "No sale" and wait for the rant to finish and carry on as if nothing happened.

That's a good strategerie! I let words fall to the floor. I make it a point to only get upset when people try to lay hands on me, or if they take it to the next level. Since I'm not in the streets anymore, that hasn't happened.So, it's all just words, kinda like the teacher in the comic strip Charlie Brown - wha wha wha wha.
