The only reason any Palestinian civilians got killed is that Hamas hides among them while firing their rockets into Israel civilian populations.

If the news stories are right and 80% of the Palestinian casualties are terrorists and military, then that's pretty good shooting for anybody trying hard not to kill civilians while having to target those who hide among civilians. I wish I could say the same about what Hamas is trying to do, but actually, they deliberately target civilians.

I imagine you're suggestion for Israel is that they should simply live with the rocket attacks from Hamas and hope their aim is bad?

Don't get me wrong, there's lots I dislike about how Israel handles, and has handled it's affairs (and being Jewish, that causes me no end of problems with the family), but defending themselves is not one of those things.
