Some time ago, I had a chance to ask Mr. Emre about Armenian genocide happened in Turkey during WW1. The answer was 'Ha-ha-ha' with few words in subsequent messages that it was not a genocide, indicating, imho, certain distinction that this individual applies to genocide issues. In other words, it is not only cheapening of the word, it could be a different meaning.
