Sorry, I thought you were alluding to party by referring to Carter back in 1978. My mistake.

I think most of the agreements, if not all, have been terrific. They just never last. I honestly have very little hope for a lasting peace in that part of the world. Maybe you're right that only total victory by one side will ever end it. IAC I do not see why we have an obligation to help THEIR peace process.

>Did I say anything about Party? As long as you are not a President, and maybe even in that case, your opinion could be adjusted by standing agreements, and Camp David is one of them. Should I understand your reply in the way that you dislike that agreement?

>>I'm not trying to disprove anything, and it has nothing to do with which party the President belonged to. In my OPINION we do not have a responsibility for peace in the Middle East. That we have often pursued that role does not change my opinion.

>>>What is your opinion about Camp David accord brokered by Carter in 1978? Was it a kind of obligation that you seemingly try to disprove?

>>>>>>If he's smart he won't get any more involved in the Middle East cesspool than he has to. I keep seeing headlines that Obama may inherit the Middle East crisis. Why is it our crisis? Who said?
