> The hotkey for a commandbutton would be 'S' not 'ALT+S'. Pressing ALT activates a menu (the same as pressing F10) and subsequent 'Ss will activate a menu item with that hotkey.

Ok, I just did some more testing and it seems like what I thought at first appears correct, sorta. If I'm sitting on a form with a command button that has a hot key of S (e.g. Save with the \ and less than sign) and I press the S key, it does indeed fire the command button, IF I'm not sitting in a text field or edit box since it just types S instead. BUT if I press ALT+S while sitting in a textbox or edit box, then it FIRES the Commandbutton click event instead of a menu item with S set as the hotkey. Normally, I would have to press ALT key to activate the menu (like you said) THEN press the S key to select the menu item with S as the shortcut.

Now, in the COMMANDBARS menu, if I press ALT+S, instead of it selecting the Command Button on the form, it selects the menu item.

So I am going to send an email to Alex and see what he says.

Thanks!
