I am not joking when I say that etecnologia's effort could have huge results for developers proficient in VFP approach and syntax, and beyond.

In order for that to happen they would have to be succesful at compiling 100% of VFP code to IL with reasonable performance, thereby making VFP a full citizen of .NET while retaining source code compatibility with VFP. If they are able to do that (very difficult) look for them to be acquired for big bucks, hopefully by someone willing to keep the faith with VFP philosophy.
