Thanks, that is what I have done in the past. I just thought I could have the report form itself calulate the total sales by using another detail band with no fields and caluate the sales value to a mv based on the report. I thought this would cause the report form to first scan on its own and calculate the mv.

Any way I do have it working properly, I just wanted to learn a better way to use the increased functionality of VFP9.
