It is probably interpolation from another thread. I meant more trivial reasoning.
Getting to more complicated matters, I would say that we use, with different level of success, reasoning to rule, though some of us prefer to be ruled by a reason and the latter could be anything. The accepting/recognizing of the reason is the first step to use it for active ruling purposes, not to be ruled by it.
