I must have been confused cause I thought you were asking about getting started with Mere Mortals framework. You might have better luck if you post your question about building a framework outside of the Mere Mortals section. Here are a couple of books I thought were good, but I am sure there are others. You can just search for these both on Amazon.

Framework Design Guidelines: Conventions, Idions, and Patterns Author Krzysztof Cwalinea and Brad Abrams
and
Expert C# Business Objects by Rockford Lhotka This one is very good by Apress Books.
