>>>At the risk of starting a twit-filtered whiney flame war with Roger Waters fans, I just picked up a copy of David Gilmour's Remember That Night at Royal Albert Hall DVD and it is fantastic. The best concert DVD i have seen. Recorded in HD, with 5.1 surround sound, documentaries. He draws from his new album and some Pink Floyd classics. That chap can play. Highly recommended.

>>His new "Live from Gdansk" is equally good. Same thing - some new stuff, some old Floyd. Some unreleased videos (not all in DTS) along with the live concert DVD (which is in DTS) and a CD with much of the music.
>>
>>His effortless playing is truly amazing to watch.

>>One thing I noted in the Gdansk set was that Richard Wright definitely looked sickly. I hadn't really heard of his illness until he died.

>I heard the same about the Gdansk show. Was surprised about Wright. I think about these guys as young rock stars, but they're not so young.
If you haven't seen it, get a copy of "Making of Dark Side of the Moon" - it is incredibly insightful and enjoyable. Seeing how these guys minds worked when making that ever-popular album, along with the (now) anachronistic recording techniques makes for a great couple of hours relaxation!
