I had the complete opposite experience. It was The Wall ("Brick" as you put it) that got me hooked on the Floyd. I must agree with you if what you say is true regarding the school kids. Not very sporting of them.

By "Albatross", are you referring to the song from Echoes? IMO it's got brilliant vocals and music; classic Floyd.
