as Fabio mentioned, all commands that use the scope RECORD and GO.

In opposite what I stated before GO (and RECORD n) can place the record pointer to any existing record, visible or not. So the error will occur if you place the record pointer outside the valid records. (NOTE: RECCOUNT() is not allways the highest record number available).

I have no idea about the grid problem Fabio mentioned.

Is there a chance that something changes the workarea? A function that is rarely used, or some event that is running? I do not see your VFP version, but Eventbinding can do a lot of fun.

Ooops, all those years without SCAN ENDSCAN? What app was without it?
