Hi All,

until now there was no real need to do it but now our customer plans to replace his W2K Systems. For rReasons I can not understand he plans to Skip XP and will switch to Vista (This is no joke, he switched to W2K on a Time wher XP SP2 was available).

So I run into problems. I have several informations on the comp that are set per comp. Until now I use the registry HKLM/Software to place those informations. I also use a subfolder in the program folder to wite some temps and the errolog.

What place do you suggest to store the settings for everybody (Everybody should alter them). And, if outside registry, what format? It should exessible to user without VFP.

Where to place the errorlog (a vfp table that accumulates the errors?)

Thanks for your ideas.

Agnes
