That is exactly what I've been trying to do for the last 4 days :-) There's clearly something wrong and I've begun to wonder if it may have something to do with Word 12. For example, when I run the BindEvents form from your office_automation download, Word usually opens behind any other open windows including VFP.. The only clue I have that Word is open at all is that it appears in the Windows Taskbar. When I close Word, the Save Changes? prompt appears in the VFP window but behind Word. This is very disconcerting because it gives one the opinion that the application is hung. It's not, you just have to find the prompt so you can answer it. Maybe Activate() means something else in Word 12? I suspect it is because Word doesn't have focus after activation that the application doesn't pause for editing.

I do not have Word 12 installed so I cannot check this out. Sorry.
