Do you really want to write your own, or use one that's already developed?
There are quite a few that have been developed, Mere Mortals has a .net version, and one of the more popular ones is Infragistics.

>We developed a very nice and extensive framework with VFP that works as a Client Server application with a back end that can be anything but we prefer MySQL. We made several very successful apps with this framework but we hear often the usual critics about VFP that it is discontinued or outdated or will not be supported anymore soon. Although we are very happy with the framework we are now considering to rebuilt our framework in .NET.
>Does anybody have experience with building a .NET framework, and how well can that work?
