I am not referring to using sql server management studio here. If all my data reside in a database in my webhost company server, and I want to do some processing using desktop application, is this possible? I am asking this so that I have a clear idea on what is possible before I'll finally decide on whether to get another separate web domain to host asp.net apps. We are running out of time publishing information (asp.net) from sqlserver database processed through winforms.net apps. Our main website is currently sits in linux environment and we have no plans to change or transfer it. The challenge is to publish information in a separate website sits in windows environment and just link it to our existing website.
