Thank you for the suggestion.
The code to create the tables has not changed since VFP 6.0. We are not doing anything fancy with the tables. They are used for reporting mainly.
The odbc connection only looks at one table in the database. The database does not contain most of the application's tables -- it only contains three slightly used tables, so there is not much contention on this database. I am not sure if having multiple databases is an issue or not. The ODBC only looks at one database.
