I just added a video capture function to a rather large 2.6 app. I implemented it by having fp2.6 Run a small VB5 app that I wrote just to get the picture from the camera to the disk (could not get any of the capture activeX controls to work with VFP). The purpose is to take a picture of a student and capture it into their record. The fp26 screen shows the picture along with the usual name address info. The bmp files are stored in their own folder on the server and the 26 app looks for them to display them on the screen. Each picture uses the studentid for a filename.
the Problem: If the student already has a picture and the user decides to give him a 'retake' the screen picture does not update until you go out and select another student and come back. The files are definitely getting saved and if I run a print-id card function, it prints the new picture. I included a show gets button, and fflush() to no effect. It seems to have something to do with a fox buffer. I know that I am overlooking something simple.
any ideas?
