Just my two cents: If the receipt printer is going to be a standard (ie. you aren't going to use the program with many different kinds of receipt printers), I would suggest considering just using good old fashioned printer control codes. I say this because of the variable length nature of receipts (are we talking tapes; rolls of paper?). I am not familiar with any receipt printers, but unless you would have to use printer codes for many different receipt printers, I would go low-level and skip the report designer...

When I do this (skip the report designer), I print to an ascii file and then use the COPY FILE filename TO LPT1: command. This also makes it easy to re-print the last receipt if that is ever needed.

>Is it possible to use the report designer to create reports to print on a receipt printer? Also any advice/recommendations on types of receipt printers would be useful.
