This kid (he's still only 19 or 20) is the real deal. Despite the lottery odds the Bulls got the #1 pick and they grabbed him. He has played so well he is their unquestioned leader, enough so to marginalize formerly successful NBA guards like Larry Hughes and Kirk Hinrich. Opponents routinely compliment him, guys like Chris Paul. I really feel lucky this guy is playing on my team. He seems to have a good head on his shoulders, too. Some are just blessed.


No doubt he is the real deal, he just made a mistake. We've got another one now - Tyreke Evans. He's going down the same path as Derrick - slow start, then turning into a wizard. Problem is, we only get them for 1 season. Anyway, we've got the number 1 guy in the country signed for next year already!
