No, I wasn't insulted. I was trying to make the point that the stuff you quoted was nonsense. I suspect liberal vs. conservative comes from a mix of upbringing ("nurture"), experience, and the way an individual brain is organized in the first place. (I add the last only because some recent research seems to indicate that it's the case.)

I suspect both your political views and mine are significantly impacted by the experiences of our parents (your father, my mother) during World War II. Your father saw the worst of mankind, and it affected the way you were raised. My mother, while seriously harmed, also experienced people at their best, and it affected the way I was raised.
