I think that the unions who have intelligent leadership will, and those that don't will, hopefully, have members who will be willing to say 'There's a job there, and more money coming into my family then the union pittance' and will get the message across. I firmly believe that most of the people who have lost jobs/income in the latest downswing WANT to work. Personally, I just came off of 4 months of unemployement and no one wanted that 'overextended weekend' to end more than I did. And trust me, there are few in this country who believe that 90% of the unions have out-lived their usefulness more than I do.
