I have a program that, after creating and printing barcode labels, updates the source table to prevent duplicate printing.

The program was compiled to an executable and placed on the network, but when it was run from a PC running WIN2000 (it was compiled from an XP PC), the table is identified as a read-only cursor, and the update fails with a message "cannot update read only file".

The problem does not happen when I run the program from a PC running XP, and at the moment it is not an option to switch to another PC.

I have never run across this before in an executable. Has anyone seen this, and more importantly, does anyone know of a solution?
