And you are taking the silly position that all welfare people abuse the system. In all systems, there will be people who 'play' them for whatever they can get from them. Unfortunately, due to budget cuts, most Departments/Agencies do not have the manpower to investigate as thoroughly as they should so the situation becomes absurd.

I have also seen the people who are buying chips, sodas, baloney and mac and cheese with Food Stamps, but I have also seen as many, or more, buying fresh meats (chicken and pork mostly, some beef) and fresh vegatables and milk with Food Stamps. I think the difference comes from being taught to eat properly as a child and not being raised on junk food.
