>>>>>No I don't. I understand you point exactly and I don't have right to your money. But the country you live in does, its part of the price you pay for living there. and currently in the US they may want a bit more.

It didn't take me long, though, to realize that my kid would graduate debt-free, while those other kids would spend years paying for college.

The image you used earlier (the person on welfare buying T-bones and driving a BMW) is baloney. The idea of the "welfare queen" was promulgated by Reagan to create animosity between classes. Yeah, I'm sure there are a few cheaters out there, but the vast majority of people living on welfare and food stamps are living at a standard well below the way you and I live.

>>>For what reason people leaving on welfare and food stamps, even if they are not cheaters, should have the same standard of living as those going to work daily?
>>
>>I didn't say they should. My point was that Marcia's suggestion that she should stop working and go on the dole meant a drop in her standard of living.
>>
>>That said, I think every _child_ is entitled to a decent standard of living, no matter what his or her parents do or don't do. Children should not be punished for the sins of their parents.
>>
>>>Btw, you are mistaken if you think that welfare system abuses are rare. They are widespread and accepted as norm in urban areas.

>Evidence? I live in urban area and I see it on daily basis. Also, as you probably know, every emigrant group has higher than average welfare enrollment, i.e. I routinely interact with people having first-hand experience of the issue, i.e. how to milk the system in the most efficient way.

I'm not talking about anecdotal evidence. I'm talking about real evidence, collected by observing a large enough sample set to be meaningful.
