Rick,

I am an MM.NET developer and I am using Telerik Reporting from Telerik (www.telerik.com). It was a logical choice for me as I was building a web based application and MM.NET has subclassed the Telerik web controls so I chose to implement both their web controls and their Telerik Reporting solution. One note, there is no relation to MM.NET and Telerik Reporting as there is no need for it.

Telerik reporting is written and runs in the Visual Studio environment. You can create a Reporting project and use the project in all your solutions. It comes with a web viewer and windows viewer so your report project can be viewed any way you want. The development of reports is pretty intuitive (there is a little learning curve) if you have already used a report writer like Crystal or VFP, but it has its differences too. I believe the product itself is very young, however, I have seen improvements over the past year via their quarterly updates.

I think Telerik has excellent documentation and very good support. Overall, I would give Telerik Reporting a very good grade.

>Good morning listers,
>We are migrating our vfp solution (also using a sql server database) to a .net solution. Thus far we have used the mere mortals framework and have successfuly developed a form which both gets and saves data via local data as well as a wcf service. As many of you know there is no report writer like that of vfp. What are folks using as a substitute in your .net applications. Advantages and disadvantages are welcome.
