I'm sorry to hear about this, too. I don't know how old she was, but I can tell she was too young to die. I never met her personally, but I did correspond with her awhile back. I had sent in a few tips, over time, to the column in FPA. IIRC, my last one was actually just a comment I sent in on another tip, but she published it as a tip, which I guess it was, technically. So she sent me the shirt and I wrote back and thanked her for being so generous on something that wasn't even intended as a tip. I told her that I made a point of wearing the shirts when I flew somewhere or was going to be out in a very public place for a long time in the hopes of bumping into a fellow VFP developer, but that my older two ones had seen better days. The next thing I know, I got two or three more shirts. I was just "chatting" and didn't expect that, but she refreshed my supply and I was grateful. Thanks, Ceil, and thanks for your hard work for the community.

Ceil was a former MVP and widely known in the VFP community for her years as co-editor of the Tips and Tricks column in FoxPro Advisor, as well as her long-term involvement with the Westchester chapter of PADD (the Professional Association of Database Developers).

>There will be a memorial service for her on Thursday, January 8 in Westchester County, NY. I don't yet have all the details, but will add to this thread when I do.
