At some point - it was version 8, I believe - the Properties window became a focus hog. Whereas before you could count on the focus returning to the Command window if you were on it when you did something like run a program, etc., in version 8 the Properties window would always claim focus after many events. So it's a contstant hassle to get focus back to the Command window. YAG was at a meeting of the Atlanta FoxPro Users Group a few years back and I was talking to him about various issues as I drove him back to his hotel. This was one of them. He mumbled something that seemed to indicate he knew it was a problem, but they weren't going to fix it. I let it slide, but I wished I'd pressed him on it. I love VFP and I'm thankful for the great things the developers did in 8 and 9, but I also think they got sloppy with some things.

>In some sense, the Property Window is not treated the same way by VFP / Windows as PEM Editor -- for one thing, it does not appear in _Screen.Forms. I also think it has a private (and invisible) data session. I really can't explain it. In any case, there is some distinction between the two.

>And, whatever the difference is, there's nothing I can do about it. When you close a form, nobody has control over where the focus goes.
