I've heard this a lot, but no-one ever mentioned that Bush promoting the financial contruction the US goverment working upon with the two banks (Fanny may and ... ?) at his speech at the university of Washington in 2003.

A bit odd when comparing the speech he did up there with the claim that the financial mess is the fault of the democrats.
