Regardless of whether he thinks he is the messiah (I don't think so, I think the media pinned that on him, and he is now in a position where people have unrealistic hopes pinned on him), the media thinks it, or the public thinks it, the idea is out there. I just watched parts of ABC evening news and they interviewed CHILDREN all over the world and that included places like GAZA, the West Bank, Indonesia, Far East, France, Pakistan, UAE, Japan, and other locations. Here are some snippets of what the children said:

1) He will bring peace to the world
2) He will be fair to the Palestian people and prevent Israel from attacking us
3) He will bring peace to all people
4) He will make America a better place
5) He is freedom and hope
6) He will stop all wars
7) He will change the world and make world peace
8) He is prestigious and peaceful
9) He can make the citizens of America realize that not all Muslims are terrorists and not all terrorists are Muslims
10) He shows that anyone can be be president in America

Almost every single child stated 'Yes We Can.'

I had to rewind the interviews and pause them to catch it all and I still only included some of the comments.

Regardless, because of the world view of Bush and America, he has an unprecedented opportunity to achieve peace by virtue of everyone being willing to work with him. Countries will make agreements and concessions that they would not before. That is why I have more hope in peace in surprising places and international support and an improved image of the U.S. overseas.

Here at home he will have his greatest struggles. If he sticks to his guns and everytime congress or the senate goes back to playing politics and HE CALLS THEM ON IT publicly, he may achieve his goals.
