Did some people not listen to his inaugural address or at least read something about it? He did not present himself as a savior. The main thing I got from his speech is that we are facing many serious problems that we will have to work together, sacrifice together, to solve. He believes we can but made it plain there are no easy, painless, quick answers. You almost get the impression some people want to see him fail. That makes no sense to me because it won't be him failing, it will be all of us.

>>>Terrific. Did you already decide what you sacrifice first?

>Really, Mike, do you believe in political speeches? You may check every president's inaugural speech, and, trust me, you will find the same words about sacrifices and common goals. Take your own life and remake it and forget about "community organizing". It is just a pleasant (at best) excuse to stop working on own goals. There is only one kind of healthy community/country: where everyone is able to care about own family, so every family is strong and happy.

I think you will see a lot less of me in the political threads. I'm tired of all of it. As one example, I don't see the point of going on complaining about Bush now that he's out of office. I thought it was silly when people went on bashing Bill Clinton for years after he left office and think this is just as silly. We've got our hands full moving forward.
