>>>>>>Here is a good question for those peoples that loves relativism..
>>>>>>
>>>>>>Why not Obama's Oath under Koran and/or Allan Kardec's books.. Humm, why not under books of black magic??
>>>>>>
>>>>>>Why Holly Bible?
>>>>>>
>>>>>>What about not a list of the most known... I mean, every president has to do several oaths with the right hand under every new book that represent a new religion.
>>>>>>
>>>>>>Today we have.. at least 10 big religions and something as 10.000 sects. Maybe 6.000 on Africa, 1.200 only in USA and dozen in others countries.
>>>>>>
>>>>>>What about for the atheist people... Huuuum... right hand under his own heart, it doesn't sound a little suspect?
>>>>>>
>>>>>>Huummm, why not under his football flag team?
>>>>>>
>>>>>>Huumm, I hope that I'm not starting the 3rd world war here <g>
>>>>>>
>>>>>>If we're creating a figure of our creator only based on ours own image.. Is this a kind of hard equation??

>>>>Sure.. this thread is not directly addressed to who believe in this or that... Or how cool president should be using this or that.. But, on what a president could swear to be so valuable for everyone.
>>>
>>>You're missing the point. If everybody was swearing in, then you might have a point, but what's the use of asking a single person to swear on something in which he doesn't believe just because some other people might? It would be meaningless.
>>
>>No no... Sorry but you're missing the point... The point is about what is most sacred (for fellows americans and EVERYONE, president included).. That exchange the bible's icon.. In so important occasions (as oath for instance)..
>>>

>Maybe there is a language issue and I misunderstand you. But are you saying the Christian Bible is the most sacred thing for everyone? Because that is not true.

For me.. For sure still it is... But, No.. I meant: *used to be* during OUR history.. On the past... On the moments that Christian Bible has been used to build the constitution of many western countries..

But what I really meant is beside any religion defense, even my own mine.. My point is about, what kind of icon could be used on the right hand of a president's Oath. That represent THE SACRED for a nation.

Sorry for some language mistakes...
